Reflections: Social Media

The class Social Media made it clear that one message generated and shared across various social media platforms has a high potential to reach several people who will share with other people and can reach more people which has a strong potential to reach over 3.9Billion Internet users worldwide and over 1.5 Billion active FaceBook users amongst other platforms. What this implies is that everyone should understand that the Social Media is a major tool to consider to drive business, push a product, sell their ideas and possibly start a movement. It is imperative for Information System Managers to understand that the world has grown from a web 1.0 to web 2.0 and it’s time to key into the future of web 3.0 understanding the place of Mobile users and Artificial Intelligence.

How do we as Information System Managers take the front seat to effectively manage Social Media in a web 3.0 generation to give strategic results to our organizations?
